About Madni Masjid Accrington
Established in 1995, Madni Masjid Accrington began its journey in a historic warehouse, transforming it into a vibrant hub for worship and Islamic education. Over the past 28 years, Madni Masjid has become a cornerstone of the Accrington community, fostering spiritual growth, learning, and unity. However, as the community grew, the aging building faced constant maintenance challenges and could no longer meet the needs of its worshippers and students.
In 2023, the community and trustees embarked on an ambitious project to replace the original structure with a purpose-built Madni Masjid. This new facility was designed to feature expanded prayer areas to accommodate more worshippers and additional classrooms to enhance Islamic education. Unfortunately, the project has been paused due to a lack of funds, leaving the building incomplete and vulnerable.
Our beloved Masjid is under threat. Without a roof, the structure faces daily exposure to harsh weather. Timber beams suffer ongoing water damage, metal beams are severely rusting, and walls deteriorate with every rainfall. Unsecured window openings further risk the integrity of the building and invite safety concerns.
